Personal Statement from Frank Baysore, President
When my mother passed away some years ago, I was named as her personal representative and charged with settling her estate. Like many family members assigned this important function, I was ill-prepared for the job! Her medical bills seemed to come from all directions, and I was quite uneasy when I started. With some study and advice from professionals, I was able to figure it out, resolve her bills and settle the estate. At that time I thought “I hope I can help someone else through this again someday.”
My mother was a “serial” volunteer. She was a bookkeeper before she retired, so she invariably became treasurer of whatever organization asked—churches, community service groups, etc. I guess a lot of that wore off on me! I’ve been a volunteer all of my adult life. I've learned a lot about managing other people's and organization's funds by being a treaurer to two different business organization, as well as managing the finances of numerous clients. I'm also an in-home volunteer with Hospice of Metro Denver, and a guardian volunteer for the Guardianship Alliance of Colorado. I have great respect and compassion for ill and incapacitated adults. You can count on me to assist you or your family member with compassion, competence and respect.
